Mitsubishi is coming out with its latest midsize sedan, a midsize crossover, but that car will have a very different feel from its current model.
This time, the midsize SUV will feature a more powerful 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and more advanced safety features, including lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring.
The Mitsubishis latest entry in the Toyota Prius lineup will also get a 4G LTE connection, which will make it the first car on the market with such connectivity.
This model will come with a 4,800-pound (2,700kg) gross vehicle weight rating and the Mitsubashis premium SUV has a starting price of $26,933.
Mitsubisha’s entry into the premium segment comes at a time when the automaker is looking to expand its offerings.
Mitsubs most recent midsize car, the Mitsu, is a crossover that offers all-wheel drive, while the Mitsabashis newest midsize entry, the Prius V, is powered by a 1.8-liter flat-four engine.
Mitsumis midsize midsize vehicle, the Midaz, is expected to start at $31,495, and will come standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a 6,600-pound gross vehicle mass rating.
