India will be getting a new fighter plane at the RCAf Airshow next week in Las Vegas.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) will unveil its new Mirage-2000 fighter at the annual event in Las alexandrales, which will also be the world’s largest air show for fighter jets, including the Rafale, MiG-29K, Mi-24M and MiG 27M.
The MiG 29K fighter will be the first of its kind in the Indian Air force.
The MiG model was produced by the Russian company Tupolev, and was launched in 1974.
The Air Force had earlier announced that it will introduce its own fighter jet, but did not release the name of the aircraft.
The Air Force said the MiG will be equipped with a single seat and a wing that can be extended to take off vertically.
The fighter will have a maximum range of about 800km.
The aircraft will be powered by a new turboprop engine.
The air show will also see the first test flight of the Russian MiG 28.
