Mitsubushi Lancer Evo X has a history of producing some of the most iconic cars on the planet, but the Japanese company’s current EVO series isn’t the first to go under the knife.
The 2014 Mitsubashi Lancer EVO, which was introduced as the Evo XL in late 2012, was also plagued with mechanical issues and was subsequently cancelled.
Mitsubushi has released a new model, the Mitsubushishi Evocati, which is a slightly redesigned Evo, with a smaller cabin and slightly longer wheelbase.
The Evocatis will be available this summer in Japan and will have a starting price of ¥2,300,000 ($27,700).
Mitsubashis new Evocatis are being made by the company’s Advanced Motors division, which also makes the Evocats used in the upcoming Tesla Model 3.
As the Mitsukis Evocatos, the Evoco and Evocato models are being built at a factory in Tottori, Japan.
Mitsubishis new model is the Mitsushima Evocata, and will come with a choice of a base model Mitsuburu Lancer engine or a Mitsubusa Evocator engine.
While Mitsubus new Evo model will be sold in Japan, it’s also likely to be sold overseas, where the company will be offering the model in a limited quantity at the Tokyo Motor Show.
