A new Mitsubishis high-tech lancer has been unveiled by Mitsubis Japanese car maker Mitsubusan, which is also the manufacturer of the Mirage.
The new Mirage will be offered as an ‘Oakes’ model, replacing the previous ‘Mitsubishishis’ model that was introduced in 1996.
Mitsubs newest lancer will have a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 541bhp and 545lb ft of torque.
It is due to arrive on sale in 2019.
The new lancer is being developed by Mitsunis technical team and has been designed to have a range of technologies, including an electronic stability control system, adaptive suspension, and new electric power steering.
The Mirage is expected to come in both the standard and premium versions, with the latter costing more than £100,000.
However, the Mirages price tag is expected be lower than that of the Mitsubas new flagship, the Mitsuru 1500GT, which costs around £140,000 and is currently in production.
